The free Manassas History Weekend will focus on this region's wartime and peacetime military history and will include activities for all interests and all ages. Some highlights include:

Dance at the Harris Pavilion focusing on Civil War and post Civil War era music and dances.

See military displays including tanks from the “Tank Farm," part of the Americans in Wartime
Museum, and displays from the Freedom Museum and the Cold War Museum.

At Liberia House & Grounds:

Catch a wagon ride to Liberia from the Manassas Museum! The historic 1825 Liberia House and grounds, once headquarters to both Confederate and Union forces, will feature Civil War encampments and living history, including:
• Robert E. Lee historical interpretation
• Victorian Age medicine & apothecary practices
• Civil War era Balloon Corps
• Portrayals of Elizabeth Keckley, Matthew Brady, and Abraham and Mary Lincoln
• House Tours
Don’t miss Sunday’s talks on how survivors of the conflict reconciled to rebuild the nation.

Just for Kids

Crack spy codes, try old fashioned games & puzzles, or get your face painted on the Manassas Museum Lawn & at Liberia Saturday & Sunday.
